Jail as well? Seems their Religious shenagans at the Funerals of Dead Soldiers has turned out to be quite costly. I think they should also spend some time in Jail.

They will be in jail soon enough when they refuse to follow the court order to pay the judgement.
Wonder how they will do in general population in prison?

I can only hope this starts a trend with other people to sue them every time they do something like this. Drive them to the point that they can't even afford the bus ride downtown to their own church.

The only reason they have avoided getting nailed before now is because Phelps has 10 kids who are lawyers. They know what loopholes are there and they play them to their advantage. It's disgusting that they are doing this at soldiers funerals... Soldiers who do uphold and fight for the very freedom they are taking advantage of. A few years in gen-pop should wake them up.

These guys are pretty scarry, since one of the preacher's daughter is a lawyer and lives off of suing unsuspecting people who are not law-savy. I am pretty sure that is more than they have, but the ruling might get cut down. These guys are crazy and I hope they will be out of business soon.

I think the Phelps deserve jail for what they did at the soldiers' funerals but that's just me.

I would say let them and do comunity service to all the people who they insulted. Maybe from this they wll learn that no one is perfect and maybe will learn to be considerate to others and to spread the Word of God the right way

If they didn't break a specific law, then they shouldn't go to jail...and the Westboro Baptist Church has always been careful to be obnoxious and agressive but not technically illegal in their actions.

Can they even afford to pay the $11 million dollars? If not won't they go to jail anyway?

ps. They're not fundies. They're more like Pharisees on crack.

Please don't call them fundies. They're just hateful jerks. Yes, I think some jail time would do them good. Maybe they could spend the time reading the Bible and praying.

...and while in jail, they should have only one television station piped into their cells with either FOX News or the faith healer Ernest Angeley on and no ability to turn the tv off or change the channel.
