when i thought about it, i dont (quote)believe(/quote) in anything!
i dont believe that there is no god, as equally as i dont believe there is a god.
so the question is what term shall we coin for people like me?
or is there one already? peace =D

anyone who's answer includes any form of the phrase 'this is who you are becuse this is what you believe' is missing my entire point. I dont believe in stuff, i know that the simpsons came on at 5:30, i know the broncos lost (sux) i still dont BELIEVE the broncos will win the superbowl (or even next week) because that means i'll be making decisions assuming that i bet correctly. occom's razor says not to give any undue weight to each position, thus religion is, at this point, a number on a roulette table.

Then you, my friend, are enlightened.
Congratulations! =-D
Agnostics actually have thoughts about the topic. You're essentially claiming to be indifferent to any "god"-option, ergo, the matter is no longer up for consideration of belief. That's not really agnosticism, by definition.
Once we are able to stop asking questions, we have then found all the answers.

You are still an atheist, just what is called a weak atheist.
A strong atheist says "There is no god" and generally believes that God can be proven not to exist through philosophical and logical arguments.
A weak atheist says "I do not believe in any gods", but doesn't go so far as to say the concept of a god is impossible. Most atheists are weak atheists.
An agnostic says "I do not know whether there is a god or not", so they could also be considered weak atheists since they have failed to take an affirmative position on belief.
But really, names and titles don't matter. Truth and reality do.

agonistic. They have already anwsered that, so i will elaborate. :D I was agonistic a couple months ago and I just want to tell you that God is true, He is real. Open your eyes and see that there is more to life than all you can see. Read about religion on Religious Tolerance.com It has a lot of helpful information on the site where you can look around. Religion is actually very interesting, but know that God loves you, even if you have not been saved. Try and find salvation. Repent and live a new life.

" A good deal of people consider themselves to be 'agnostics'. By this they mean to identify themselves as doubters on the question of a 'god's' existence. They usually hold to this position of doubt because reason compels them to doubt the existence of any 'god', yet they resist calling themselves atheists because they also want to hold to their disbelief tentatively. Their expressed reason for this is clear: while their reason leads them to doubt the claims of theism, reason also demands that they keep an open mind on the question of 'god'. "
" Q: But I don't disbelieve in god! I just don't believe!
A: If you literally 'don't disbelieve' then it would follow that you believe. You obviously don't mean to say this! What you probably mean to say is that you don't believe, OR reject the possibility of 'god' claims either. This leaves you without any theistic beliefs. Unless you are a pantheist or a polytheist (a person with god beliefs other than theism), this makes you an a-theist. Atheism does not necessarily imply anything other than a lack of theistic belief. christians go about labeling and redefining people all the time..... I beleive that atheist are like a new version of the old pagans.. originally pagan meant practicing no religion and serving no god... along the way the catholics and christians who found it offensive that these people would not practice their religion or serve their god bad mouthed them.. calling the evil and attributing to them rituals that were offensive even to the pagans... so by long term slander did the christians change the definition of pagan..... christians find themselves against a group who doesn't practice religion and serve no god... they twisted the assertion I don't beleive in your god to... I don't beleive there is not god... inch by inch christians turn things around till what you called or defined yourself... your chosen label.. no longer fits you ... now aren't you a bit confused, when once you weren't.... christians do that so as to discredit a whole group at one time... like hearding them into a corner and creating dissention and confusion and argument between in this case atheist... defensive is what they like to make us.... so someone like me prefers no labels other than human..... I know they're already full of ways to discredit being human... but think of it... I am what I am born... whether they like it or not... I and people just content to be human are not going away..

Agnostic atheist.
An atheist believes there are no gods, because there are no gods.
An agnostic atheist believes there are no gods, but it can't be proven, however, the opposite cannot be proven either.
An agnostic person believes there may or may not be a god or gods, and there's no way to prove either side.
An agnostic theist believes there is a god or gods, but it can't be proven, and the opposite cannot be proven either.
And a theist believes there is a god or gods, because there is a god or gods.

Actually, it just so happens that there is already a word for people like you. The definition, which you seem to fulfill, is "someone who lacks a belief in God." That word is atheist. Or maybe agnostic, if I've misinterpreted your position.

if you do not believe there is no god then does that mean you believe there is a god -- the double negative thing.
i think you might be afraid, due to former religious teaching, to come right out and say you do not believe there is a god.
but look who's talking now - I am still checking out all possibilities, - that's all.

untruthful to yourself, two negatives do not equal a positive. either you believe or you don't, the only real middle ground is agnostic, which in the end will prove no better than non-belief.
