History says he should and will but I have this funny feeling that this retard is going to try and "Stay the Course" well into the year 2009 and possibly further if he can.

At high noon, on Jan. 20th, 2009, he will no longer be president. Don't let your paranoia get the best of you.

Even in the middle of the Civil War the USA had an election and if Lincoln lost, he would have left office.

Even in the the middle of World War II the USA had an election and if FDR lost, he would have left office.

Even in the middle of this war the USA will have an election and no matter who wins, Bush will leave office.

If he does not, he will have every single American, Democrat and Republican against him. And the combined forces of the US military and all the police organizations and state legislatures. There is no way he could remain in office.

I agree with comments above, stop being a nut case and worrying about things that will not happen.

He will end his term in office as of 12 Noon on the 20th of January 2009. Of course, had you read the Constitution you would know that. And you have the temerity to question the President's intelligence. Pitiful!

He has to leave office. The US Constitution only allows a President to serve 2 terms. This amendment was added after Franklin Roosevelt.

I am not sure - If he does try to do that he is going to need the backing of the military Does he have that ?

Or there is going to have to be a big big emergency - I really hope not I am really sick by the things mother nature is doleing out and more so by what people are doleing out to one another - Sick at heart at the cruelty of our own species

I don't know at all my thought is he will ride away into the sunset on time and on shedule but that might not mean an end to the "Bush plan" just a different front man for the same ends

If there is an elitist plan being worked out Bush has completed his part in the play and will likely never be seen again -

The potential for world war is huge and all this time I was compareing the relatively straight forward war of 39 - 45 to our time now -

I am now thinking it will be the convulted mess of world war one not 2 where a domino efect of seperate powers go hay wire

Of course he's going to leave office. And watch... regardless of what happens during the next president's term, everyone's still going to be blaming Bush for anything that goes wrong, but crediting the next joker with everything that goes right. I'm more worried about what pandering nonsense his successor is going to try, rather than Bush.

Some of the answers are dumber than the question, which is really saying something.

Did I stumble across a Ron Paul meetup?

No he is probably going to be glad to get out. You call him a retard and yet you give him credit for being able to find a way to stay in office after his term has expired.,that is interesting.

At the last minute, he's going to order the National Guard to take to the streets and keep the public pacified, announce his new role as "President for Life" and forcibly introduce a new constitution that suits him.

Sound far fetched? It is. I know it's not what you had in mind, but he really doesn't have any choice in the matter. When his term's up, his term's up.
