Because when you find out that the Person running our whole universe is really a very nice God, you can't help but like Him!

I think that Jesus said it best:
John 9
3 "The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.
5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."
We listen to Him, and He gives us what we need. If God tells us to trust Him, there are many acts we can perform which He tells us to do, some of them are called 'worship'. That is why we worship.

i'm not saying there isn't a god, i really believe there is. but i think we have all been brought up to believe in god and to worship him. i grew up a baptist preacher's daughter. i've been around it all my life, so i don't know anything else as do most of the population. my father always told me that worshiping god and going to church made you a stronger christian. it helped you deal with the everyday struggles in life.

Well for starters everything comes form Him. As in EVERYTHING.
Who better to worship than God? Yourself maybe? If you lived to be 2000, you couldnt make a single hair upon your head.

God is our saviour. He is our Lord. We worship him to become closer to him and make him happy. God told us to worship him. We do so.

To have someone or something who has all sort of powers and could do all things great but would rather allow and possibly do only mean and suffer able things to his creations
