I have been quite confused by the behaviour of a work collegue, she has been very subtly flirting not really giving herself away, possibly waiting to see if I take the hook, well I did bite (just by chatting with her), but now she has backed off (for now), so it seems it was all a game to see if she could get me interested, is it an ego thing...what do I do next?

I have no idea, she's strange, the next thing that I'd do would be to avoid her.

i would not chase her that's for sure!

make her chase you! if she looks at you, smile, but make like you are busy and be on your way somewhere. if she tries to make conversation, politely tell her you'd like to talk, but that you have a meeting to go to, or whatever excuse sounds appropriate for the time/situation.

the bottom line is to give her just enough to let her know that you interested and that you are not being rude, but not enough that she thinks that she can control you, or play with you like she already has.

you need to turn the tables on this girl quickly, so that she knows that her games will not work on you. you need to become the challenge, not the other way around! if you play your cards right, she will be the one chasing you! good luck...

i like games BUT not in relationships --- if she is playing a game the best way to see if she is serious is not play the game --- if she backs off then respect her wishes and do the same --- if she is playing she will get the hint soon enough that you are not playing ---- enjoy

Maybe you got the wrong impression. Maybe you came on too strong.
