We were messing about. He rolled on top of me, and laughing said, "Squash Am-" and then stopped. (His ex is Amy). Then he tried to cover it up by saying over and over again "squash 'em, squash 'em" as if that even makes sense! I know he has been talking to her a lot online recently as I have been there when he's talking to her. I know they are still friends. If he says her name instead of mine, does this mean he still has feelings for her? Should I be worried?

well, it depends. it may only be habit for him to say her name.. but i would be a bit concerned.
if it continues, then maybe you should talk about it with him or something.

My own mother calls me by my brother's name all the time. I have a twin and people who have always been able to tell us apart call me Sara. I accidentally call my friends by names of people I haven't seen in years. I've read that a guy calling you by an ex's name doesn't mean he's thinking of her, he probably just has her name plugged into the role of girlfriend somewhere in his brain for life. No matter how much he'd rather be with you, this will probably happen more than once. It's not you, it's not her, it's just his mind pulling out the wrong name for the wrong girlfriend. IT DOESN'T MEAN HE'D RATHER HAVE HER.

edit: I totally forgot to answer the rest of your question... I think them talking is fine as long as he's still really yours; a lot of ex-couples make better friends than lovers. I still think the mix-up was merely a mix-up, and no wonder he'd try to cover it up, it's a well-known no-no.

Don't panic. I have done this and we weren't just messing around (not that we were having sex either). It was an honest mistake. I wasn't thinking about the other guy. In fact I wasn't thinking at all. It just came out.

If it happens more than once then I would start asking questions. Just know that everyone says things by mistake from time to time. He just happened to make his mistake at a very awkward moment.

If it would make you feel better to talk about it now then by all means talk about it. Just don't jump to conclusions and make yourself panic.

Ug I know how that feels and it sucks. But have you and him recently started dating? If so, he might be used to saying Amy out of habit. Bring it up when you're not to upset about it so you won't end up yelling or getting angry. Tell him how you feel honestly and be relaxed and calm.

If this is the first time just shrug it off. if it happens again be worried. It could mean he has feelings for her but if he's with you I doubt it. And also it could have been one of those "What did I just started to say?" things. Hope everything works out.

Don't know. The best person to ask is him! Occasionally we might slip but if you feel there is a need to worry address the problem directly with the source and if he can't give you a straight answere that should let you know all you need to know.

sometimes its just a habit or mistake and something to not worry about...
sometimes he might still have feelings for her and still like her....
the best thing to do is TALK ABOUT IT, instead of speculating or asking people on yahoo...

It could be just an honest mistake; however, I'm not sure why he is still talking to her. I would talk to him about it, and continue to monitor the situation.

It could just be a slip of the tongue, it might be nothing, try not to jump to conclusions. What do you think, if you're not sure try talking to him.
