Did the Advance Photo System produce pictures that were closer to the quality of 110 shots than 35mm?

The consumer APS cameras make better images than the consumer 110. (There are a couple of SLR models for both APS and 110. I have a customer with an APS SLR, Nikon Pronea , I believe it's called.) The APS negative is slightly bigger than 110. You may see APS pictures that look grainy, mainly because of the "panoramic" setting, which enlarges the negative beyond what is wise.

The reason for 110 and APS photos to look grainier then 35mm is because the size of the negatives. in order to make a 4x6 image from 110 or APS you have to enlarge the image more then you do from a 35mm. If you print a 35mm negative too big it would have the same effect.
