For your information...I am NOT going to breed any dogs! I don't have a Maltese or Yorkie.....I just wanted to know what the chances were of these two mixes to be the size of the parents....Since I've seen alot of sites for this mix type...I was just curious!!

The puppies will probably be an average of the 2 parent dogs
so 5 plus 3.5 equals 8.5. 8.5 divided by 2 equals 4.25 lbs.

quiete often you need to go back the the grand parent or at least 3 generations t determine size.
I know someone who actually had two chis that she had bred several times she herself had back 5 generations all teh puppies for years was between 4-6 pound but her last litter she had 1 female that matured to be 4 1/2 pound and the male was a thowback and grew to be 32 pound. these dogs were not allowed without direct supervission so we know the exact breeding.
If it's a first breeding no way to tell until after they are born.

This depends on the pedigrees of both dogs.
If they have 7-10 pound dogs in the pedigree then that is what they could produce. This is why it is helpful to know pedigrees.
You have to know the pedigree of the dogs and the size of the dogs in the pedigree.

Add on: just spay and neuter. Why do you want to contribute to the tons of crossbreeds?? Don't you think there are enough out there needing homes? Please do not breed these dogs.

Depends on which parent they take after. I assume it'd be around 4 lbs estimate.

Could you maybe not breed them please? There are so many dogs without homes already.
