In other words, is there any good reason not to delete it alltogether seeing as how i use itunes and WMP for everything?

Its not necessary at all, and sucks bad. The company that owns it pays manufacturers to preinstall it on your system to try and get you hooked on their services.
Pretty much everything that comes preinstalled on a store bought windows system is unnecessary advertisement.

Hi Doc Manhattan,
No Musicmatch Jukebox is not necessary. In fact you can't get it anymore. Yahoo bought it and now it is called Yahoo Jukebox.
If you don't want it to play your music you can delete it without worry. The program is available free from Yahoo if you ever want it back.
