I know many people - - men and women - - who have done it, but all have said the same thing: it takes a LOT of practice!!! Of course, nobody who has a mirror would go outside after doing a "bad" hair styling (assuming it was reversible!), so hardly anyone ever sees a bad home-"do"!
The link, below, shows a video of someone doing their own cornrows, but, again, she has had LOTS of practice!!!

Get funky with this cute look!
Pep up your average braid with this funky new look!
1. Part your hair on your left side. Start braiding to the right of the part along your hairline.
2. As you braid, add in pieces from both sides to continue down the side of your head, but as you add the pieces, pull them underneath the braid. This creates an inside-out French-braid look.
3. Braid down to behind your ear, then stop adding pieces. Finish braiding regularly to the ends and secure them with an elastic.

the best way to cornroll your own hair is learning from someone that knows what they are doing.or else do it in the mirror,that way you can see what you are doing,or atleast start french braid,it is something that takes a lot of practice like from child to teenager,then you will be pretty good at it , good luck i hope that it helps,due to the price of a parlor doing it for you,get a girlfriend,practice on each other,
