LoL!@#$
It looks like someone's desperate attempt to use circus trick gimmics to sell their new book.
Thanks for the laugh. I'm passing this one on.

I am not going to bother with it, as I already know the answer -- which is, not in any significantly visible manner. Evolutionary mutations occur continuously, but most have little effect on survival except to better protect against the local germs (which, of course, are also evolving). A visible change would require pressure, such as adverse environment in which a change could markedly affect survival (the Ice Ages being an obvious example). There is no such pressure now, so there is no good reason for visible change -- and there won't be any.

Yes, and he's an idiot. He stole the idea from watching The Time Machine" movie from the 60's. That amount of change will take alot more then a couple thousand years.

Yeah, there seems to me to be a lot he's not taking into account here. I'd love to hear what someone like Richard Dawkins thinks about it though.
It seems to me, however, to be more Lamarck than Darwin. I could be wrong about that, though, and would love to hear the thoughts of anyone with more knowledge of the subject than me.

interesting. who's up for an off the wall thought? it is Halloween.
if we really get smaller.....any chance all the aliens people claim they see (little green men with big eyes) are just highly evolved humans....maybe we are seeing future time travellers rather than aliens. green skin and big eyes would be a spacesuit i'm sure. but, smaller beings in advanced flying craft.
whats more off the wall? aliens from a different galaxie traveled all the way to us to kill some cows...or our own future coming back in time?

I didnt click your link cuz I saw this somewhere else. I think its not likely that slective breeding will take evolution to this point.

It's a put-up. It has to be. Nobody could rip off H.G. Wells like that and expect to get away with it.
