i have got the PS3 from china and I can not use it in australia, is there any way to change the region and haw

china is in region 3, i can watch NTSC dvds only, what is the best solution?

In PS3 only PS3 games are region free, movies and PS1/2 games - aren't. There is nothing you can do about it. You can take original of the movie, put it into your PC, unlock region with help of program like "DVD Region", burn it onto blank and watch it on PS3. Simple solution - hook your PC to TV and watch movies like that.
