You can take some round vases (water bowels) and float white or blue candles in them. Place the bowl with the candles on a small mirror, (you can even get silver metallic material, cut them into circles) and sprinkle the fake snow around the material or mirror. It's cheap and it looks nice. You can even take white flower petals and spray paint them silver and sprinkle them around the material instead of using the snow. If you are going to use the petals I recommend not putting material under the water bowl with the flowers. It would be too much.

fountain with blue glitter water......please no. That would look soooo cheap and cheesy.
Go to the dollar store, thrift shops, or discount craft stores that offer weekly coupons like Hobby Lobby. Pick up some containers, probably in silver since that's your colors.
Next either pick up some silk pine or go talk a walk in the woods and cut your own. You can also purchase a X-mas tree and trim from that. Use floral foam and cover with the pine stems until you can't see it anymore
Next get some blue beads (possibly a crystal type to look wintery) and put on the end of some wire to make arrangement jewels.
Then pick up a few pine cones or purchase them. Add two or three to each centerpiece.
Get a can of fake snow and LIGHTLY dust the pine and the pinecones with it. Then add your jewels low to the snow. If you like substitute the pinecones/beads for a few ornaments
Surround with a few votives. Note: I wouldn't put them in a perfect circle. You could also build a small box. Cut holes in the sides and cover with blue tissue then place a battery powered strand of christmas lights inside to give a soft glow.

i needed something cheap so I did floating candles in a vase that is really cheap and added glitter to the water. also i hot glued butterflies to the flowers and flower pedals are also great on the tables. So is sprinkling candy bars with your names or glitter... there are great websites to use and places to get bulk cheap stuff.. email me if you need more help , i dont know where you live but if you are doing winter then using fake snow on the vases and in the water would be neat...

We're getting married in August and I went through the same thing. My fiance and I spent a lot of time at craft stores trying to design an inexpensive centerpiece. After months of searching, we coincidentally met with our florist and he asked us if we had centerpieces. Of course, we hadn't decided on anything so he offered to supply them. He had a few different choices, but we ended up going with glass bowls filled will roses, which will be surrounded by rose petals and votive candles. We're going to rent the supplies for a few hours and the florist is going to completely set it up! I think that this is the way to go for a few reasons... (1) we won't have to worry about set up (2) it's inexpensive to rent the materials (3) we won't have tons of bowls and votive candles left over that we'll never use!
It's definitely worth a look... talk to your florist and see what she/he has to offer! Best of luck and CONGRATS!

It's the cost of flowers and professional arranging that normally make centerpieces so expensive.
Figure out what you want, and buy wholesale (vases, flowers, etc.) You can get good ideas from restaurant supply stores, Pier 1, Ikea, etc.
On the day of the wedding, you need to get help from people to put things out for you, so you and your fiance don't have to do that work while you're trying to get ready.

you can use any kind of glass bowl, any size. fill it with water. add marbles to bottom or rocks in your wedding colors. or leave it empty. Add floating candles. light them. there are many kinds of shapes and colors available online or at a candle store. Wal-mart has glass bowls tall and wide for cheap. good luck.

Why not little fishbowls and blue betas swimming in them. Or you could take pine cones and spray them with silver glitter and put them in a siler or white basket with blue votives. How about spraying bare tree branches white with a little glitter and hanging silver and blue ornaments from them.
