First and foremost you should realize that Jack Chick is condemned by almost every christian church group out there. The very FEW people who actually use them are extremely vocal radicals who are pitifully educated in dogma and history... they bite at any scandal they can get. they do NOT, however, represent the views of any mainstream christian church.
For those who buy into Chick tracts, you should take a strong look at everything he says. For example, his "Father Gonzales" who was a spy and terrorist for the jesuits was, in reality, a seminary drop out who never even made it to his first day as a priest. With an axe to grind, he approached Chick with a fake story and they've been spreading hateful lies about the church together ever since. If he has to lie to make his point, then he's not promoting true Christianity (and niether are you by supporting his tracts with money)

Some have had success with them but I myself do not like using Jack Chick tracts. I stick with the Bible and my own personal knowledge. I think it means more to people when you are knowledgeable and you don't need silly props.

Chick tracts remain very popular with certain fundamentalist, evangelical, Christian Zionist groups.
They are typically very disturbing to anyone who might actually read them.
Makes you wonder what Chick's REAL purpose is.

Yes, there are people who think that. They're the ones who buy them from Chick to give away.
All he has to do to make a sale is convince a Christian that they're effective.

I feel the same way. Jack Chick is seven different flavors of crazy, and Christians who buy into his bull are NOT to be trusted, in my opinion.

I've met one or two people who liked them (and I seriously suspect that one of these people had a mental health issue, judging by the way he spoke). But I'd be very, VERY surprised if they actually managed to convert someone.
