A Christian theologian make it up like 400 years ago. I don't get where he got the idea, but it wasn't in the bible. Yeah, the dead will be awakened, but that's not quite the rapture as we know it today. If it is actually in the bible, it would be in either Daniel or Revelation.

The Pre Trib Rapture. I believe it because we are the 'Body of Christ', that is; the Church. We are called that often in the Bible. The body of Christ would suffer the wrath of God only once, right?

Here are some verses which will help you understand, weigh all of what I say on the Holy Spirit:

Numbers 20:11
Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.
12 But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them."

1 Corinthians 10:4 ( speaking of the Children of Israel )
and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:9
For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

There is no rapture. Not as they think of it. But there is a couple of scriptures that people have misinterpreted . One is in 1st Thessalonians. and another that says " two will be in the field , one will be taken , the other one left. Two will be working in the grain shed and one will be taken and the other one left." First Thessalonians only teaches that when the REAL Christ returns we will be transfigured into our spiritual bodies, nothing more. And my other quote of scripture is describing how when Satan is in the temple in Jerusalem that Half of the people will really be TAKEN in and believe he is Christ. These things have brought about the rapture (fly away) theory. And this is what God thinks of the rapture theory . Ezekiel 13:20 " Wherefore thus saith the Lord, behold I am AGAINST your pillows/coverlets/bands, (here God is calling the rapture theory a hinderance to His plan of salvation) , wherewith ye hunt the souls to make them [fly] (away). And I will tear them from your arms and will let the souls go. even the souls that ye hunt to make them [fly] (away) ". OH OH ,LOOKS LIKE I TOOK AWAY SOMEONES SECURITY BLANKET.

1 Thessalonians 4: 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The rapture for the dead and the living.
This was a message regarding the dead, they will be brought back with the Lord to heaven, called first then the living will be called and we will all goto heaven. Then the wrath of God will come to earth.

How fast does this event take place:
Matthew 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Luke 13:29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

This is a very fast event before the wrath of God takes place. It's a secret because God is looking for the dedicated Christian, if you knew he was coming you would only prepare a day in advance...but, the wrath of God will not be a secret, he wants everyone to be looking for him then.

The rapture is no secret.

It has been in the Bible all along.

Read 1 Thessalonians chapters 4 and 5.

The key verse is 4:17

Because the bible tells them so and so does their preacher. They don't think for themselves (I am a recovering southern baptist, so I know of what i speak). They translate the bible to their liking, but most will say look in Revelations.
I don't have a problem with born-agains, I just wish they'd leave the rest of us alone.
