I think Noah's Ark is pretty bad. All those animals spread out on the continents and Madagascar too, all safe and sound on this gigantic vessle. Then after the flood, the animals and creatures were returned to their homes.
A lesson is meant to be learned here, but to believe in this literally .......

Interesting to note that you mentioned Noah's ark. It may well be silly to you but it has interested shipbuilders for a long time. The proportion of the length to width is about 1:6 and gives the best stability in rough weather. Noah however should not get the credit for that even though this was the first ship to be built. God himself gave Noah the dimensions of the ark and should get all the glory.

In terms of a story being far too fantastic to believe, I agree with you on Noah's Ark.

As far as being so ridiculous that I wouldn't put it into my wildest fiction? The entire story of Christ's crucifixion, why it had to happen, etc. Sorry, folks, I just cannot get my head around how utterly ridiculous it is on every possible level.

Why are you guys bashing this? God is the God of the Universe! In Judges, he made a donkey talk. So what? He can do whatever He wants, and He has the power to do it. The Bible is the truth, and I can't make you believe it, but it's the truth. Wether you accept it or not. Those stories are truth, not just fairy tales you tell your kids to scare them into doing the right thing. He did all of those things for the glory of His name. Just accept it, and get over yourselves.

The whole thing too hard to choose. But if I must I'll choose Genesis, its the first and gets the whole thing started and takes an incredible leap of faith, and once you take that leap the rest becomes so much easier to believe.

There are so many and each is silly in a different kind of way. I always thought the sun and the moon standing still for a day (in the book of Joshua) was a little silly.

Samson and Delila is a little far fetched.

David slaying a Giant with a slingshot is a longshot, but ladies and gentlemen...the envelope please???

Joshua's army sounding horns and the walls of a city just falling down. This one just barely nudged out Jonah being in the belly of a whale for 3 days.

Although there more silly stories, I think, most people have cover my main ones; however this one gets me:
The moon turning blood red, come on!! I should have been shaking in my shoes, while I stay up all night with the last eclipse. Well, maybe next time......

It's only "silly" to those who refuse to believe God's Word as the whole truth. Only to those who reject Jesus Christ as Lord. Be assured that when Jesus returns, EVERYONE WILL BELIEVE! The only problem with that is, it will be too late for those who wait that long. I pray you search His Word, and that you find the Truth before that happens. God Bless
