First and last of the 95 theses:

1 When our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, said "Repent", He called for the entire life of believers to be one of repentance.

95 And let them thus be more confident of entering heaven through many tribulations rather than through a false assurance of peace.

Yes I do know. ; )

This past Sunday was Reformation Sunday. Being Presbyterian (PCA) our church observed it with our annual Kirkin' o the Tartan. It is a thrilling memorial to the history of our faith and denomination.

Tonight is our annual Reformation Celebration at church.
My children have 'met' some famous people in past years: Herr Gutenberg and Martin Luther, being two. My children have 'smuggled' Bibles for Mr. Tyndale from the Continent to England, crossed the Atlantic with the Pilgrims, wandered Scotland with John Knox, to name a few historical experiences.
Tonight my daughter, now 22, will be dressed to represent the French Huguenots from whom our family are also descended.
My son intended to dress as Henry V of England, but changed his mind when we reminded him that his hero allowed the burning and scattering of Wycliffe's bones.
He thought perhaps that wasn't such a good idea for tonight. lol (Although people at church would have found humour in Henry V smuggling Bibles for a "future" Lollard.)

Thanks for posting your question here and allowing another perspective of this day to be known. ; )

Yes it was back in 1517 that Martin Luther nailed his 95 Thesis to the church door at Wittenberg.

That was not an act of rebellion, church doors in those days served as the bulletin board of each town.

So posting things on the church door was common.

You'd be surprised as to how many people don't exactly repent on Halloween.
