I never had a problem but I use the highest quality 3/4" nap roller usually the 18" ones and put it on at 6 mills wet that will give a 3 1/2 to 3 dry film thickness it will make a difference if you are painting with a dark color or red ,Orange or yellow as they are tough to cover

I personally think Dulux is over priced crap. I never buy it but gave in to the idea of buying that one that goes on pink and dries white for a ceiling. It was awful, there was something wrong with it because it smelled like parmesan cheese, it was putrid!! I always buy Homebase paint, covers lovely good to work with and hard wearing. Second choice would be Crown.

Take the tin back to the retailer. They will send it back and give you a new tin.Even the best firms have problems now and again. When you go round the different manufacturers and see how it is made you would not even think of buying some of the other crap.

REFUSE to buy dulux paint. Wasted sooo much money on their suede paint and trips back and forth with tinting and retinting to get the color they advertised in the store only for it look like total #$@# on the wall.
I only use Taubans paints.

We had some interesting emulsion paint which never dried at all for some reason. Don't think it was Dulux though?
