Your GPA will be permanent, but if you did better in classes in your major, you can say, for example, 3.24 GPA in major, 2.56 overall (and you don't have to add the overall if you don't want to).

The only glitch is you'll have to sit and calculate your gpa in major -- by determining which classes are in your major, adding those gpas, dividing by the number of major-classes, and rounding off to two places.

Usually when you graduate, the employer only asks about the last 60 hours GPA. So if u calculate your GPA based on those classes then that counts. Hopefully u did better in those classes than when u were a freshman.

Yes, your GPA is permanent after graduation. Your GPA is for the courses and time that you were obtaining your degree. You can take classes and get another degree, therefore, achieving a new GPA.

Once you receive your diploma, your GPA is carved in stone and you can't change it.
