Uuuummm..... well there looking for people who have some sort of special training, civilian or military, preferring military training. If you have that then the recruit has a high probability of getting hired.

Most private security companies (from my observations) want to hire someone that:
* Has served in the military for quite a while (8-10 years), preferrably in some sort of special operations branch
*Has combat experience and is highly recommended
* Physically fit and specializing in relevant military skills (like a working knowledge in field medicine, explosives, electronics, automotives, maintenance...)
* Has a workable understanding of the languages in the field of operation
But hey, this is just an intelligent guess. Visiting their official website should give you a better understanding.
Hope this helps...

Check out the Blackwater website- they have some answers. As far as what it takes to work for them I would venture to say special operations background for the U.S. military is a good start. Also a high security clearance is going to be good. If you have a language skill that may be a plus- People who fly things also may do well.

First you have to pass a lie test:
That is you have to lie convincingly that the unarmed people in the civilian car you shot up were a threat to you and your buddies.
After that its all downhill from there.
