I'm usually pretty rational about things- I think about how my decisions will affect me in the future when making them. However, when it comes to tattoos and piercings, I just love them. For the most part I keep my body art hidden. I have 2 small tattoos, and I'm wanting to get a big one on my back. The 2 I have now are four and five years old. I'm wondering how you (women especially) feel about your artwork 10 or 20 years later?

the only thing i have ever regretted about my tattoos is poor planning and poor artist quality but i have had all of those regrettable tattoos covered up and am completely happy with the tattoos that i have now. i really think that when people get meaningful beautiful tattoos they'll be happy with them forever. but the girls that get a playboy bunny tattooed on their hip are very likely to regret it in 10 years.
good luck!

I got a crescent moon on my lower chest about 15 yrs ago. After childbirth its not looking so wonderful as it did. I have three other tats I love dearly, but I really regret the one on my chest. I dont even think covering will do much good anymore, I am thinking about getting it removed completely, it would be for the best.

My oldest tattoo is only a couple of years old, and although I love all my tattoos I do regret getting one done on my ankle. Me and every other woman in America seem to have one there.

I don't regret any of my ink. I have thought long and hard about all of my ink and I work very closely with my artist to make sure I get exactly what I want.

I can't really express how much working with an artist to get exactly what you want will save you a lot of time and money later.

i'll love it just as much then as i do now..
i have one so far.. with three more planned.. all rather small and in places where they wont be as easily seen..
they're something i have and will spend a lot of time and money on.. and if you put that much into something i would hope you wouldn't regret it..
they hold a lot meaning to me.. it's a memory engraved in my skin.. so i know that i wont regret them.. they're well thought out and special..

My sister and friends do. It's not the same when you get older and for some people that may be in their 20's and up.
