I bought a nice looking roast to cook from Walmart (date still ok). I cooked it the next day and it tasted fine. Within an hour both of my adult children became extremely ill (on the toliet). This lasted all evening. No one else ate the meat. Walmart will give me my money back (that isn't my concern) but I want to find out what was wrong with the meat. Where does one go to get it tested? Is the health dept. concerned? The government? I believe it was bad and want to take it further and alert the public. Things like this often get swept under the rug to avoid 'bad PR'. Thank you

Call the store and call the health department to ask them about it... you can also try calling the FDA.

Usually food poisoning takes about 4 hours to show up... 1 hour is really fast... are you sure it was the meat?

Did they eat anything similar earlier in the day?

Spray away mold? What the hell is she talking about? My husband owns a grocery store and we do no such thing! That is so stupid! As far as finding out what is wrong with it that is up to you. But you would have to prove that it was wrong at the time of purchase and not after you brought it home. Others (besides your family) would have to get ill for anything to really happen. The store simply turns it over to the meat supplier who then turns it over to insurance.

What was wrong with the meat is that it wasn't COOKED properly!

You can't make walmart pay for you poisoning your family with your ineptitude.

Instead of smearing walmart with blame for your incompetence, you should go back to the store and BUY A THERMOMETER.

What else did they eat that nobody did.
If someone can a checked you counter top and such for bacteria you might be shocked, even the cleanest people would be amazed.
Sorry about the kids but just drop it and go on and shop somewhere else if you are sure is was their meat.

Check the date purchased and the date on the meat. take it back. they will exchange it or give your money back . I have done that. You will have to prove that it was bad when it was bought.
