He's nineteen months old and I am taking him trick or treating and I was wondering if I should take his stroller or let him walk. I'm afraid people will look down on me if I put him in the stroller but on the other hand my mother told me I would get awfully tired if I didn't.

Take him for a walk around to his neighbors. Quit when he gets tired.
This is not about a marathon walk or getting as much candy as humanly possible. It is about letting your child do Halloween, and for you to bond with your husband about how adorable your child is in his bee suit.
PS quit listening to everyone, and do what YOU think is right for your child. You can't please everyone. Keep uppermost in your mind what it is ALL about-what is best for YOUR BABY- and not what anyone might think of YOU.

How far are you walking? Around the block, let him walk. Up and down 3 or 4 different neighborhood streets? Stroller or be prepared to carry him. If you DO put him in the stroller, let him walk to the door at least.

Let him walk but take the stroller with you. When he gets tired and wants to be carried, you will be glad that you did. These little guys are real troopers for a short time but them all of a sudden they run out of steam. It's always when you are the furthest distance from home and they just cant walk back because they are too tired

People won't look down on you if you take him in a stroller, but he won't be able to show off the full extent of his cuteness. He also may get bored sitting and want to walk. I suggest taking the middle ground and letting him sit in a wagon. That way he can walk when he wants to and sit when he's tired.

This time next year will be totally different - he'll be running from house to house!

i would let him walk, but take the stroller with you if its not too big and when he gets tired let him sit then. He'll probably sit for a while to recharge then want to walk again. If the stroller is too much of a hassel then i would just walk your street on both sides and call it a night.

do both. Let him walk until he gets tired, then put him in the stroller. Who cares what people think. You're the parent not them.

hey...i let my husband pick out our 2 year olds costume this year...NEVER AGAIN! he will be a "mischeiveous devil" imagine the looks i'll get ;) it depends on your son really, my son was about the same age as yours last year, and he loved it so much it was hard to get him in the car when it was time to go home...we live in alaska so it's pretty cold halloween night!! he may suprise u and be a real trooper!! but i agree if u can just bring the stroller, but still let him walk when he will.....because if not your back will feel it in the morning!! good luck!
