YES...But as a Gunsmith & Hunter I suggest you go out and "pattern" your Turkey choked shotgun with the bird shot shells you intend to use.Find yourself a 3'X3' piece of plain cardboard and draw a 36" round circle on it with a marker pen and see how the shot density is affected for your particular shotgun and choke......

First I would like you to ask yourself the definition of bird shot. Lets take the easiest one I know " shot used to kill bird". A turkey is a bird so the shot (size 4-7 give or take)used to kill a turkey can be shot through a turkey choke. Many other birds can be shot with a tight choke when at longer distances. I have seen a few pheasents take with a turkey choke. I sometimes have thought about a tight pattern for some birds that neer seen to get into range.

No problemo!! But a turkey choke is a bit tighter than a full choke and will give you a very tight pattern.

If you mean regular shells, yes. A turkey choke just makes the pattern extra tight.

the first person to answer is perfectly right. You just wouldn't want to shoot slugs or heavy steel shot through it as it could possibly rupture the barrel. Whoever gave me a thumbs down knows absolutely nothing about hunting or shooting. Moron.........
