The other day I took my cat out to my parents house and he ended up eating about 1/2 of our dogs' mini milk bone (about 3-4inches long) when we weren't looking. Then a day or two later he got sick and puked everything up. Also, he didn't eat or drink (not that I saw) anything the next two days. Then yesterday he seemed to be normal again and was eating regularly--he was also very playful seeing as he is only a 3 month old kitten. However, he is still getting sick........ about 1 or 2 times a day. Is this still related to the milk bone incident or should I be worried that something worse is going on? (it's been 4 days since he at the bone)

Everyone is saying .... take him to the vet, and I agree that it's probably a good idea. However, if you have a vet that you're comfortable talking to, and you've taken this kitten for the shots that he should have had by now, then......CALL the vet, tell him/her the situation, and see what comes of the phone call. My experience w/vets, is that they're willing to talk to you and tell you whether or not something like a milkbone dog biscuit would hurt your kitten. You know that some things that a dog can eat are BAD for cats, don't you? It could be that the kitten's stomach is just irritated, and this will blow over, but if he were my kitten.......I'd call my vet ASAP. Good luck.

You need to take your kitten to the vet. It's highly unlikely that the milkbone caused the problem. I think you need to see what the cat is getting into at home - Are you with the kitten all day? I can't imagine a kitten that would go 2 days without food or water - he'd be badly dehydrated. If the kitten is still throwing up, get him in to the vet!

The cat is feeling ruff, right? The cat is transforming into a dog. So it has to puke out the cat guts first. No respecting dog would ever have a cat hairball in its system. Another couple of nights and it will be hounding you.

Take your kitty to the vet - there is no way that anyone on here can know the cause of your cat's problems. Once you know, then you can remedy the situation, and not have to worry about him.

It's just a cat for pete's sake. If the dog gets sick, take it to the vet.
