It would help if we knew what kind of party this is. A shower? An engagement party? Is this a cultural tradition?

One game I use often and always works well is the M&M game. Get everyone in groups of 5-7 and give everyone a small pack of M&M. Before it starts give each color a different subject (i.e. red=family, blue=future plans, green=career, etc). Have the groups go in a circle and each person pulls on out M&M and they have to share something about each other (or about the couple) to get to know each other.
