fewer per month than the average day in Vietnam. And still much more chance of getting hurt or killed as a civilian driving around in the US than due to combat in the war zone. Feel free to check the statistics, that's absolute fact. How's that for ya.

*Of wich only 6,000 are from combat injurys. The rest are car accidents, football, health conditions & sickness. Most of the 27,004 are wounded, but can return to combat within 4 days.
Included but not specified are suicides (roughly 100 per year) and mental illness evacuations.
This is out of a total of over 2,000,000 (2 million) personell who have rotated in and out of Iraq over the years.
