When you say strongest I think of most powerful. Joe Louis had a quick and very hard jab. He could knock you out with it. Sonny Liston and George Foreman also had very powerful jabs. As far as fast and effective goes, Muhammad Ali had the best followed by Larry Holmes.

Ali is my favorite fighter sothat would be to easy. I think Larry Holmes had the best jab besides Ali. you may laugh but Buster Douglas had an excellent jab when his head was right not just in the tyson fight. I saw him knock out Tonny Tucker with a jab on the tyson spinks undercard.

Liston had the strongest left jab. The most effective jab I ever saw was Ali. He cut alot of fighters with the strength of his jab.

Larry Holmes said on ESPN Ringside that when he started sparring with Ali in 1971 he began jabbin with Ali. By 1972 he was matchin with Ali, and by 1973 he was beating Ali on the jab. By far the stiffest quickest jab I seen by a boxer who had beat the one who before had the quickest stiffest jab before Holmes.

Other mention Boxer who I think were excellent on Jabs:
Louis
Liston
Foreman
DeLaHoya
Wright
Klitschko
Lewis
Bruno
Mayweather Jr.
Hearns

larry holmes in my opinion. i think ali's jab was a little overrated in a way. especially later in his career. he "paw'd" his jab alot. larry on the other hand had a more punishing jab. but today, i like winky's jab, and manuel marquez.

Foreman most likely.

I dont think Tyson ever threw a jab in his career.

Lennox Lewis had a great jab too. It was very underrated.

Pound for pound Winky Wright has the most powerful and best jab in the business. Just ask Tito Trinidad.

Larry Holmes. He scored a KO victory in a title defense with a jab. Apparently a pasty guy named klitchzchko beat someone named Austin with a jab. But Big Lar's jab was much better.

I think Sonny Liston's Jab was a bit harder, but Lar's was better.
