Hello! How are you doing today?I have another question. What is considered a baker? A person who bakes sweets from scratch right? Would a person who buys the mix and mixes it together be called a baker? Why or why not? Is it possible for a person to mess up if they're only mixing up the eggs, etc., with the mix and stick it in the oven?

I would consider someone a baker as someone who is able to make something from scratch and can make variations or understands the effects of making changes.

I would call someone that uses mixes as a home cook.

The mixes are difficult to mess up if you follow the directions. The mixes are designed to account for many "mistakes" a home cook would make so you get good results most of the time.

Yo "V" (Nikki),

How many questions?

A baker is a person that bakes. A Bakery Chef is someone who does it from scratch!

OH yes, some people can mess up boiling water .... Not so likely, however there are exceptions to almost any rule and even and experienced Bakery Chef may forget the salt or something from time to time ...

I like to bake from scratch, however many times it is a complex recipe and time verses money makes me use a boxed item...

Good Luck ... I Have Faith In You :)

In England a baker is usually someone who bakes things like bread cakes croissants doughnuts Cookies etc, We have alot of supermarkets that have their own bakers section where everything is being made from scratch in store.

It is so possible for people to mess up but if they're good at the job they shouldnt mess up that much, right??

Hello,
Well yeah it actually is baking if you just mix up the mix. Because to bake you have to put it in the oven which is baking. Not baking is when you buy something from the store and say you baked it.

I consider a baker a person who primarily bakes bread and cakes. If you bake or make other things then you are a pastry chef. Just my opinion.

Sweetie, if you open a can of soup and heat it in the micro-wave, did you make soup? Same with your cake mix. You're just a pretty girl who's hungry. The only way to mess up is if you can't read. It appears you have that tackled. Go get 'em!
