"When you gave me the capacity for critical thinking, I assumed that you wanted me to use it."

I'm not going to believe in something just because other people tell me to and try to force my beliefs with threats of hell. If I am to believe in god, it will be an honest belief, not one forced by fear and social pressure.

Either that or I'll say "I always knew you were a woman"

Aw, this question for the millionth time? Why won't people use the Search for questions bar? I'd shrug and say I thought God was irrelevant. It doesn't matter trying to explain myself since I got a first-class ticket to hell.

I'd say: You never called, you never wrote, you never visited! If you wanted me to believe in you, why didn't you make that clearer? Why all the coyness? And I'd say: So I'm sorry for not worshipping and believing; but you gave me free will...didn't you want me to use it? Or did you just want robotic followers who march in lock-step and never get out of line?

I used my free will to come to a logical conclusion based on the evidence. And if you feel that I am evil or deserve to be in hell because of this, fine, because that is not the actions of someone I would want to worship anyway.

I would tell him I'm sorry it was just the way I was raised and that I found the whole thing too confusing to come to any decision.

If I didn't cut my hair it would drag along the floor eventually.

If I didn't wash my body, eventually it will stink.

What happens if you die and then that's it, and there's nobody there to answer you. What would you say?

Evidence, God... evidence.

The exact same thing you would say if you died and Zeus asks you why you didn't believe in him.

Or:
Ama-No-Minaka-Nushi
Bosatsu
Lugh
Cerunnos
Diancecht
Marowit
Belobog
(there are thousands more where these came from...)
