WOW that is so true! My pastor also did a sermon on the passage and the love of the Lord Jesus Christ is so powerful that nothing can't take it away. No matter what happens or what you do, that love is still there.
It got me thinking for a moment when I heard that passage and just knowing that someone far powerful and almighty and perfect than anyone could ever be and have such a strong love for someone who is ignorant, sinning, helpless and someone like me. I sometimes wonder why would God love someone like me? I have done much sin in my life and I don't always follow what is right. I am way less than perfect but God can use in a great and powerful way. We are like sheep and sheep need a shepherd to guide them each and every step of the way. And just knowing that the shepherd will protect you and guide wherever you go. It's such an awesome feeling!
Stay faithful to Him no matter what. just remember that there is nothing that can stop the love of Jesus!

~God Bless~

Romans 8:29-30 portrays an unbroken chain that spans from the predestination of believers to their glorification in heaven.
Of course, the fact that a believer is secure in his salvation does not mean he is free to sin. If the Christian sins and remains in that sin, Scripture says that God will discipline him or her just as a father disciplines his children (see Hebrews 12:7-11).

A beautiful, yet powerful grace flows from this passage. My views are those of security and the omnipotence of the everlasting God who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.

Thank you for enticing us to read such eternal truth.

That is a wild translation. But the passage is saying that you can't lose with God on your side. He's the biggest thing in the universe, and who can overtake him? Nobody. Nothing. The love that he expressed with his plan and Christ Jesus cannot be overcome by anything, and therefore, it becomes the most important and beneficial thing for us humans.

31 What, then, shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who will be against us? 32 He who did not even spare his own Son but delivered him up for us all, why will he not also with him kindly give us all other things? 33 Who will file accusation against God’s chosen ones? God is the One who declares [them] righteous. 34 Who is he that will condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died, yes, rather the one who was raised up from the dead, who is on the right hand of God, who also pleads for us.

35 Who will separate us from the love of the Christ? Will tribulation or distress or persecution or hunger or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 Just as it is written: “For your sake we are being put to death all day long, we have been accounted as sheep for slaughtering.” 37 To the contrary, in all these things we are coming off completely victorious through him that loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers 39 nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

That God is more powerful than ANY of our enemies...whether spirit or human.

Rom 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Rom 8:32 Truly He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up on behalf of us all, how will He not freely give all things to us with Him?
Rom 8:33 Who will bring any charge against God's elect? God is the One justifying!
Rom 8:34 Who is he condemning? It is Christ who has died, but rather also is raised, who also is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession on our behalf.

No one can place a charge against us in the court of Heaven. Who can bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? No one, God, the eternal and perfect judge has declared us justified.
Who can say we still are condemned to Hell, to face the wrath of God? No one, Christ took on the punishment for the sins of His people, all of them, and continues to intercede for us before the Father.

Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
Rom 8:36 Even as it has been written, "For Your sake we are killed all the day; we are counted as sheep of slaughter." Psa. 44:22
Rom 8:37 But in all these things we more than conquer through Him loving us.
Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

There is nothing, in this world or the next, that can separate us from God or His love for us. We are declared justified, forgiven and redeemed, nothing, not even ourselves, can change that eternal state.

When I was a teenager, we used to end many of our devotionals with this scripture. While one of the guys would read it, the rest of us would hum a hymn but I can't remember the hymn other than it was slow and soft. Always inspired us and helped to make us stronger in our walk.

This scripture tells me that God gave the greatest thing by giving His own Son so if He did that, wouldn't He also freely give us all that we need?

This isn't saying we CAN'T be separated from God but it says if we stay faithful, He will intercede for us when we ask for forgiveness when we have fallen and sinned in any way. As long as we are alive on this earth, we have a chance to return to our first love but it's important that we try Not to sin and crucify Jesus all over again.

Let's go back to Heb 6:4 and include verse 5 and 6 with it.

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,

~~~~~6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance,~~~~~
since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.
Verse 6 is telling us that IF someone falls away, to renew them AGAIN to repent so they won't crucify Jesus all over again. That means they have fallen from grace as long as they continue to follow the sinful path.
And Galatians 5:4 tells us:
You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
And we also have Rev 3:5:
He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments,
~~~~and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life;~~~~

but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

One's name can be removed from the Book of Life according to the above scripture and Rev 2:10b tells us to be faithful UNTO death. If we aren't and we return to sin, our name will be erased from the Book of Life and we will be cast into the fires of hell.

I much prefer this translation.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

“ For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”[a]

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This is the conviction that I came to recently....as a believer, you can have a time in your Walk where you occasionally look behind you and think...'well..if it gets bad enough maybe i'll just turn around' ..and then you have that moment where you realize..there is no turning back. You are for God and no one, no thing, no circumstance is going to get you off track anymore.

Thats how I feel....nothing shall separate me from the Love of God anymore.

Read it in the King James version. It means Jesus will never leave us. That there is nothing in the world that can separate us from Him. And, after we have accepted Him as our Saviour, we cannot become UN-saved. No man is able to pluck us from His hands.
