We are in the process of applying for US immigration( F4 category) Will some one tell me if the marriage certificate issued from church be acceptable for this purpose?

Not unless it is also issued by the state.

In the United States, the marriage certificates are issued not by the church but by the county or city within the state you are being married within. Each state has it's own guidelines as to what is necessary to get your wedding certificate so you can be married and then receive your official wedding license. Hope this helps and good luck!

No it is not acceptable. It needs to have been issued from the state or government.

Same is true with a hospital birth certificate. That also is not valid.

It should probably be certified copy of the licensed issued by your local government.

It has to be filed with the government. You will need a copy of that filing.
