It is impossible to give a universal statement on the salvation of all members of any denomination of Christianity. Not ALL Baptists are saved. Not ALL Presbyterians are saved. Not ALL Lutherans are saved. Salvation is determined by personal faith in Jesus alone for salvation, not by titles or denominational identification. Despite the unbiblical beliefs and practices of the Roman Catholic Church, there are genuine believers who attend Roman Catholic churches. There are many Roman Catholics who have genuinely placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. However, these Catholic Christians are believers despite what the Catholic Church teaches, not because of what it teaches. To varying degrees, the Catholic Church teaches from the Bible and points people to Jesus Christ as the Savior. As a result, people are sometimes saved in Catholic churches. The Bible has an impact whenever it is proclaimed (Isaiah 55:11).

That would likely depend upon the individual Catholic in question. But as a Catholic, I can tell you that our theology regarding salvation is different, and we don't throw the term "saved" around in the same way that certain Evangelical Protestants do. Our religion doesn't hinge upon mumbling a single prayer printed on the back of some religious tract, and then saying that everything's okay and we can treat people however we please, and even gloat over how others are supposedly going to Hell if they're not also formulaically "saved". The so-called "sinner's prayer" isn't even found in Scripture. We see salvation as a more complex process than that. But even at that, no, Mary and the saints won't save us. They didn't die on the Cross for our redemption.

Listen up everyone catholic is a Greek word meaning unity or unified. I am a Methodist, my husband a minister, every Sunday we say the Apostle's Creed" and we say "I believe in the one holy catholic church..." With a small "c". Catholics were not the first Christian. I study at the New England Institute for Biblical Studies. The word Christian was given to those who followed Christ during His time on earth. It means follower of Christ. At that time, it was supposed to be an insult. Only those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, can be saved. I was raised a Roman catholic, went into the convent to be a nun, and left. Now I know the meaning of being saved.

I am a Baptist, but a near friend of mine is a catholic, although I am not sure on all beliefs, don't they have to confess to someone else, The Bible teaches us the only way to The Father is through The Son, so we should make our confessions through Jesus Christ, Since We Know that Jesus took our sins to the cross, that way our sins can go to that cross, We are saved through Jesus,
In my opinion, not judging, Catholic is an organized religion, and there are other people, and many rules they install, God made the rules, there didn't have to be people putting them selves in a position to make rules God didn't.
That is with any religion, if you feel someone else is imposing rules on you, that are not in the Bible, should you trust that?
LIke in these other countries, Did God say cover your face up and don't look in a mans eyes, no God put Woman here for Man so Man would not be lonely.
When People, and I don't mean Catholics, if Catholics recognize Jesus Christ as thier savior and can talk to Jesus then they are most likely saved, but I am talking other religions start following false doctrines, they are following a false God, a false Idol, and I pray I did not offend anyone, it again is my opinion, I am not a judge.

John Wesley (founder of the Methodist Church) said of his son when he decided to be Catholic "you can be saved in a Protestant Church and damned in a Protestant Church. You can be saved in a Catholic Church or be damned in a Catholic Church."

What I think he was getting at is just because you call yourself Christian/Catholic doesn't mean you are saved. You have to examine yourself to see if you are in the faith or not. So are some Catholics saved? I would have to say yes. Where the Word of God is preached, souls may be saved.

Secondly when people say they are saved, they are saved from the wrath of God which is to be unleashed on the Day of Judgment upon all who fail to repent of their sins and believe (put on) on Jesus Christ to save them.

I honestly don't know. I guess it's up to God to judge, which brings me to another point.

All those that presume to judge the Catholics are not saved and are definitely going to hell.

"Let he among you who is without sin, cast the first stone"
" Judge not, lest ye be not judged"

Catholics, as all other Christians are saved by Jesus Christ. Mary, the Saints, and the rest of the Church have a role in salvation, but ultimately it is Jesus' death on the cross that assures us our salvation.

"Catholic" is just a label. People are not saved by placing one label or another on themselves. They are saved by belief in Christ.

When I say I'm Catholic, I am referring to the building I go to on Sunday mornings (well, ok, some Sundays) to worship. It does not necessarily tell you what my relationship with God and Jesus is or isn't.

If Catholics aren't saved Christians are you saying that Prostestant faiths like yours that derived the basic tenants of Christianity as well as the cannonized bible from the Roman Catholics got it from "unsaved" Christians?

What a joke!

If they believe that Jesus died for their sins and rose from the dead and will come back for them they are. But they do need to be careful with all that Mary and Saints stuff so as to only worship the trinity.
