My 2002 Nissan Frontier 4WD pickup's ABS light comes on when the truck is cold. Usually the 1st trip of the day.

Then after stopping and later re-starting, the light remains out.

Also, if the weather is warm, say above 75 or 80 degrees, it never comes on.

Brake fluid is full, so that's not part of it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Tnx, JP! I just had the front pads & rotors replaced today @ 75,000 miles. The tech said he cleaned up both ABS sensors, so we'll see how it behaves in the next week or 2. I'm currently in a warm area, but will head back to cold country on Sunday.

Left hand front ABS wheel speed sensor. Nissan can read the code and replace the loose terminal ends on that sensors plug. That sensor is particularly problematic.
