There's definitely a problem. Cats are EXPERTS at hiding pain and discomfort. So, if you're noticing such a huge difference in your cat's behavior, I can assure you that something's wrong.
Please do whatever you can to get kitty to a veterinarian as soon as possible. Call around to different vets and ask if they will allow you to make payments. Also- you could contact the SPCA or any other animal organizations in your area to see if they'd be willing to assist you. Sometimes organizations will help to pay vet bills. Do you have a local humane society? Inquire with them. Any local cat rescues or cat welfare orgs? Contact them, too. Ya never know who may be willing and able to lend you and kitty a hand and a paw. ☺

Some vet places let you make payments.
Please don't use the excuse as having too many bills to pay the reason you can't take your cat to the vet!
If you had a sick child would you not take it to the doctor because you couldn't afford to? No you would do whatever you could to get the money.
My cat was lethargic and wouldn't eat or drink and was hiding under the bed. she almost died because she had pancreatitis. You need to take your kitty to the vet.
I don't mean to sound like a b*tch but it really hurts to see people not take their animals to the vet so please do so!

"my cat has been very lethargic"...
"she wont eat or drink anything"...
"she's been hiding"...
"and she had diarrhea" ...
THESE ARE ALL WARNING SIGNS that there is something seriously wrong with her! Please take her to the vet—now! If she's not drinking and she's having diarrhea, then she's dehydrated and needs fluids. Please take her to the vet and take care of her now, or you soon might not have a cat to worry about.
Many vets will bill you, or work out a payment plan if you are unable to pay at the time of the visit.

Yes I agree with the 3 above me, but don't wait 2 days, that's a long time for a cat to be without fluids, and she could be in pain. They usually go into hiding when sick or in pain. Good luck. I understand about the bill thing, my pup had to go to the vet & now I'm 2 months behind on a car note : (

Sounds like she might have ingested something toxic?? How old is your cat? If she vomits for more that 2 days you will unfortunately have to bring her to the vet and they will have to give her an IV so she won't be dehydrated. Signs of dehydration in a cat are lethargy and if you pull of the fur/skin on her back there is not tension, just a lot of skin. Good luck!

I know the vet is expensive but pets are like your kids, when they get really sick and you don't know how to help them, its best to let the expert look at them and do what is necessary. the hard part with pets is unlike kids who can tell you what is wrong, cats can't, and guessing won't help. Sorry about your cat. I hope she feels better. Good luck

Dont worry Cats are always changing they never do the same thing twice. diarea is comon if they get into processed foods, make sure you get a good cat food for her try and carry her around speaking softly brush and prim her as much as you can most time it is a hairball may be stuck in her throat, i would suggest you go outside and get a small amount of grass so she can eat it make sure it is fresh. give it a ouple of days it should get better. good luck
