God's love is "unmerited", and unchanging. There is nothing we can do to obtain it, or change it. It must be given whether we are worthy of it or not because of His character of holiness.
Man's love is conditional, it can change due to internal and external environmental factors.
God's love shows that He knows, and man's love changes as the wind blows...

A great study of this is CS Lewis' book The Four Loves.
God's love is an unconditional love directed towards another which is not dependent on any lovable qualities that the object of love possesses. Following CS Lewis this is called agapē. (sounds like "a cop" then long e). Agape is the love that brings forth caring regardless of circumstance.
The other types of human Love CS Lewis identified are:
Affection (natural love1) - affection for things and people
Friendship (natural love2) - brotherly love
Eros (natural love) - sensual love

God is not of this world , therefore the worlds` definition of love is flawed . Mans` definition of "love" is compatible with all material things of the world as one in the same ! Mans` "love" has many meanings , whereas Gods` Love has only one !

You may be right. I realized a long time ago that there are two kinds of parents. One that is good to the child and one that is good for the child. There is a difference. I believe God is the latter.

I would say the difference is that God's love is pure and unconditional while human love can be corrupted by selfishness or any of a number of tainting influences.

God's love is perfect and complete
He does not concern Himself with impressing anyone or short term good feelings-but loves sacrificially--to the point of letting us suffer if that is what will get us to eternal joy.

There is no difference at all. The love of mother, father, sister, brother, wife, children, friends and even strangers, is true love, because it is the love of God. And such love does not limit direct love of God. The love we seek is the love God invites us to in our daily lives, but as with all things from God, they are simply incomplete without God. When we love others, and then add to them God, then we love God in fullness. But if we love God and ignore all those others, our love is incomplete. We love our parents and children, truly, madly, and deeply, because they are worth it. We love our husbands, wives, neighbors, and friends for the sake of God. The love that we feel inside of us is given by God, so whomever or whatever it is, is true love in our eyes as well as in sight of God. The love for worldly desires, which costs a lot, is not worth loving at all.

God's love has God's truth in it (1 Corinthians 13).
If someone's love is without God's truth, then it isn't God's love.

God's love is unconditional, He loves us no matter what.
and we as parents should be able to stand our ground with our children when we tell them no, even if they give us the pitiful act because we as their parents know what is best for them. we can not give into their tears for them to get what they want. God stands His ground when He tells us no, no matter how much we may kick and scream.

By God - I assume you mean the Jewish God - Jehovah?
Jehovah claims and declares - His love is perfect.
He also states that man's love in not perfect and that he is so far beyond the Gentiles - we can even concieve of His perfectness - because we are also damn inperfect.. and furthermore.. we are lucky he is SSSOOOO perfect.. because he will for give us and let us into his private club - Heaven... and by the way ..its ok we suffer allof our live...because HE is SOSSOO perfect.
And if you don't believe it -HE kicks your *** and burns your soul in hell.
Good thing Jehovah is a God. Otherwise he would have to be put in jail for domestic violence!!!
The sum of it - man has to take responsiblity for our actions - whereas the Jewish God - does what ever the hell He please - with no reprocussions whatso ever!
