Because anxiety medications are designed to level you out. By this I mean, you will not get severe anxiety attacks and the ones that you get will be less often.

I suffer from enough mental disorders, that I had cards printed that say Certified Crazy Person. Anxiety attacks can occur for any reason, including the sky is blue. I would if I were you, try cutting you medicine in half and taking one half pill when you get a strong attack. Meantime, reschedule an appointment with your doctor to discuss possible medicine doses or new medicines.

Here is my opinion. I have suffered extreme anxiety and recovered from it without anxiolytics. Anxiety is fear of something. conscious or unconscious. Medications do not eliminate the fear which is one of 6-8 basic emotions you are born with. When you are not dwelling on what you fear or are not in an environment that reminds you of what you are anxious about then you do not suffer attacks. The med's do not eliminate the attacks, only dull them. Only discovering what it is that you fear and eliminating or facing it can stop them. It may require a therapist to help you in discovering this thing or things.

Good luck, good mental health, peace and Love!

Because you are still human and will have anxiety and worry and all the other emotions humans have. If it is consistently not working then speak to your doctor about switching you to something else. As well, you might want to consider doing some therapy; there could be an underlying reason why you get anxious and it may help to talk about it.
