When making your bed, is it more important to have the comforter's print facing up rather than going by where the tag is located on the comforter? For example, I have a comforter with a repeat pattern of urns with flowers in them. Should the pattern be facing the head of the bed as if you are looking at them like a picture, or should I go by the tag or the dimensions of the comforter in relation to the California King size mattress? Is it possible or common that if manufactured by machine, the print could be facing the wrong direction or does the print display the proper direction which the comforter is supposed to face?

My boyfriend and I have been arguing over this one. I'm an Interior Design student and remember dicussing this one in a class one time. The comforter seems to be the proper proportion to the bed when the flowers are facing up like they are supposed to but he doesn't seem to see it.
