Yes, I have gone to 'Add/Delete' on the system, but it won't work. I've tried deleting the file, but that doesn't work either. Suggestions?

install norton again
and from the options in the norton programm UNINSTALL not from add and remove

norton is a pain i would format my system if i was you

You can use the Norton Uninstall Tool from Symantec

the ansewr to your question might sound to sever at first but let me explain my reasoning what i would is try to reinstall windows on you computer if you have the cd if you dont have the cd try restore program and bring the computer back to a place where norton isnt installed on your computer if these are to hard for you to do then leave norton alone but this is what i would do if you decide to restall window make sure you save any music and pictures on your disc when doing a restall make sure you chose advance because all the programs will be erased so please save your work good luck student at fmu in computer science

use the above norton removal tool from norton to remove program (which are creating problem while uninstalling specially when uninstall is not working correctly). It will cleanly remove it..

Note:-
Please read instruction before using it as it can remove other norton program/software (like norton ghost, etc)
