Your spouse can draw Social Security Disability if she is eligible and SSI if she is Qualified and her Social Security check is small. She'll have to go to Social Security office take her Live Birth Certificate her former employees and if she has them all her W2 forms. Her Doctors will have to write a narrative report when Social Security ask for proof of her disability. It doesn't matter if you work she is drawing on her work record not yours. She will if she gets certificate of eligibility from Social Security for her disability amount due and in 2 years they will Let her get on Medicare. She will have to have worked so may years in order to receive disability
Just go to your Social Security office they will let her fill out the forms and tell her what she needs to bring back in with her. Best Of luck, Social Security will tell her just what to do and fill out.
Best Of Luck because disability is hard to get from Social Security she can't be able to hold down any type job and she can't make a dime while she draws Social Security .Disability

Did she pay into SS?
If so then she should have received the yearly informational form showing what her disability benefits are. If not then she is a freeloader trying to get SS benefits she did not earn and one of the main reasons the system is broken and will not be around for young people in a few decades.
SS was designed to be a simple forced retirement system that people paid into and received back based solely on that sum. It has been turned into a joke.

With you working it may be a problem. Call Social Security and ask. She may have to wait until she comes of age.

I believe she can aply for SSI, yes. I know a couple in a similar situation, the husband has severe health problems (not the least of which is blindness), and cannot work, he recieves SSI even though his wife works and they are both in thier 50s.
