I split up with her about 3 months ago now, im 100% over her (i split up with her not the other way around) and i believe shes over me too (which is good) . I have a different girlfriend at the moment and we're going good. I havnt spoken to my ex-girlfrind practically since we split up but should i say anything forher birthday? Or do you think it would upset her or my current girlfriend?

If you're over her, this wouldn't even be on your mind, and you certainly wouldn't be asking this question.
Doing that lets you know you've been thinking about her. If that's the impression you wish to give both girls, go ahead.

If you were single, and the breakup was over 6 months ago and ended on good terms, then yes. When it's an ex, it's best to stay clear for quite some time.

If you have text messaging I would text her. If you have a new girlfriend make sure she knows first that your doing it because if she finds out it could be bad. I think you should say Happy Birthday to let her know you still think about her it just didn't work out. At least you left on good terms so you can be friends later in life.

Danger ex-girlfriend alert. No seen as you haven't spoken since the split up take this as a sign not to send a birthday greeting, it will only lead to trouble.

I think your current girlfreind would not like it probably becuase you are freshly broken up . 3 months is not long. I don't think you need to say happy birthday because she probably will be happy without your saying it unless she has no friends and no family and is alone. In that case it might just make her feel worse since she may not be over you. if i break up with someone for three months I don't call them to say happy birthday.

It's a nice idea. It would create a good feeling for the both of you. If you keep it friendly though. If she contacts you to say thank you for the card; please tell her that you are in a current relationship now and that you wish her well and every best wish. There's no harm in being friends - she'll understand & she will be able to get on with the rest of her life.

Well it all depends on why you two broke up, but if you have a current girlfriend, I wouldn't go out my way to say happy birthday but if I saw her I would say it because it might upset your current girlfriend.

Personally, I don't think that there is anything wrong with saying "happy birthday". I don't think that you should go out of your way to say it but if you happen to talk to her or your paths cross, then mentioning it wouldn't be bad. It would show that you have moved on and are able to speak to her with no intention behind it.

Well, I wouldn't go out of the way to call her, she may think too much of it. If you happen to see her, just say Happy Birthday and leave it at that. I never called an ex after the fact to say happy birthday.

If you see or "just happen to talk to her" then sure, why not. But my question to you is if you're really over her, why are you contemplating communicating with her?

I mean if i were in your shoes, i'd be concerned with my CURRENT woman, and if, "IF" i remembered my ex's bday i wouldn't be asking Y!answers for advice, that is of course unless i still had feeling 4 my ex...

No don't say it. If you see her say happy b-day but don't send any cards or presents or go out of the way to call. This WILL upset your new girl (at least a little)
