No, but it would potentially be sin if someone worshiped it or coveted it to the point of self-identification with it -- but that seems very unlikely for any normal minded person.
Having fun, trick or treating or having a fun costume party is not a sin. All the evil spirits and rebellious ones were taken outta here and we can make fun and light of those days before that. Jesus came and forever settled the problems associated with Lucifer, Satan and their minions. The history of Halloween is very sketchy and I have studied it numerous times. While there are several theories about its origin, I like the one where the saints have tried to change it from a fear based and pagan ritual to fun, light, happy, innocent play.
No way is giving out candy or treats a sin either. Putting razor blades in the treats is definitely evil and sinful... breaking windows and pummeling jack-o-lanterns is sinful. Abusing your neighbors or neighborhood, etc. those are the sinful things.
So, have fun! But keep it nice, and keep it clean.

There are many reasons I am not a fan of Halloween. That is just one.
I hate the sexy "eye candy" costumes that little girls wear.
It's a sicko holiday!
Seniors are often terrorized, and children are learning that it is fun to sneak around in the dark and do graffiti with white wash.
I hate "Devil's night" arsons (in an era of rampant crime), booby trapped candy (in an age of anarchist violence), and the so-called fun pranks like egging cars!
I hate the promotion of evil as harmless fun...including a funny reaper on TV trolling for souls to send to hell.
In the same way ... take sports for example, I don't like that the Washington, D.C. (home of random rifle murders) NHL team is called "Devils"; and Blue Demons are hellions!
We are a society that mocks God and emraces evil spirits that go bump in the night.
May you have treats today, and not tricks! Enjoy the day.

If sin is defined as anything that does harm to others or to yourself, NOT practicing in the joyous, and secular holiday of Halloween, sending kids out to meet the neighbors (community) and getting free Candy, would be a sin.

To me it's no problem. We don't dress as witches or anything spooky, and we just have a good time with it. We don't trick-or-treat for safety reasons. There is a church in town that holds a big carnival every Halloween with games and prizes, and the kids can wear their costumes. They come home with loads of candy too. We go to that every year.

Luke 10:18
And He said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven."
There are two ways of looking at Halloween. Sure, from a Christian
perspective it's not especially great to have the kidlets dressing up as
the devil and whatnot. On the other hand, look at it from the devil's
perspective. You revolted against God and fell from heaven in this
primordial struggle against God Almighty Himself. In your titanic pride you
had high hopes of establishing yourself supreme in the universe. You
committed your greatest act of terrorism against God when you convinced His
own precious Adam and Eve to revolt against Him. You brought death
into the human race and you thought you had it made when God, as it
appeared to you, insanely chose to become human. On Good Friday you finally
had Him in your hand and you killed Him with all the savagery your
fallen angelic mind could invent. And now, for two thousand years, you've
been watching your revolt crumble as the Risen One turned all your
schemes into life for your victims and mockery for you. Now, so far from
ruling the universe, your face is on some stupid mask worn by a
6-year-old and the creatures you hoped to destroy are writing meditations
like this one to pull your pointy nose and remind you that the Christ you
killed has defeated you utterly.
Memo to Satan: Happy Halloween, loser!

Is it a sin to dress up in fun costumes?
Is it a sin to collect candy from willing "victims"?
Is it a sin to laugh, play, and have fun?
Hmmm...
Uh...I seriously don't think so.
And, for those who are so afraid of "celebrating" the devil, think how it must make that old dragon feel, to see all the childish joy "his" holiday generates every year!
How he must cringe!!

No, it's just a holiday for kids to get candy, and give candy. If anything, it's holy, since we practice the art of giving too.

Yes, because you're celebrating and observing a satanic holiday. How can one person believe in God yet contradict his or her actions by observing the devil? It just doesn't make sense. A person cannot believe in two separate kingdoms, he or she either believes in one being, but not both. That's cannot happen.

No--but farting in church is-especially if it is a really stinky silent but deadly kind and you let the old man behind you take the wrap.
