I have thrown and 80's Prom Party before and it was so much fun! We had lots of bright colors, lots of outrageous dresses (found at the thrift store and various prom boutiques around town) and everyone wore crazy sunglasses, big earrings, and lots of makeup. We had a camera set up on a tripod so we could take "prom pics". Ideas for music: madonna, pat benetar, the bangles, billy ocean, the go go's, the outfield, tone loc, etc. There are some fun 80's compilations online that you can order...the links are below. You can also do an 80's work out party and have everyone wear 80's work out attire, so fun! Like Richard Simmons style. Also, below the music links, I am putting some links to some websites that might be helpful! Good luck! Have fun!

Tequila Sunrise, and Harvey Wallbangers were pretty popular. Also, wine coolers were all the rage for awhile.

I know that's when wine coolers made their debut--they were very popular then. Bartles and Jaymes.
