The only church I ever liked was the Unitarian Universalist church. All the other ones I tried were very bad for my mental health.

(Actually, I went to a Jewish synagogue too for awhile, and I liked that. My only gripe with Judaism is the no-seafood rule.)

On the whole, I'm better off without church. I'm pretty good at telling myself I'm bad; I don't need any more help.

I guess it depends on wheather or not you believe in a religion or not. I used to consider myself a Christian, and there's no where in the bible that says you HAVE to go to church to be saved and get into heaven. The bible says the church is there because God wants us to all come together and be with other people in a large body. So I odn't think you MUST go. If you're talking about being able to get into heaven, all you need to do according to christian beliefs is accept Jesus Christ as your savior.

No i don't think you have to go to church. As far as what kind, I don't belong to a religion but I do except Jesus Christ as the son of God and my savior. You have to find your own relationship with God. He will guide you through this and give you what you need to know.

No, I really don't feel I need to go to church.I am a christian of 8 years and have visited many churches and haven't found one that i feel drawn to yet. I listen to television and radio broadcasts mainly and I feel filled in this way as well as praying and studying the bible.

I dont believe that you HAVE to go to church. God isnt sitting up there with a scoreboard and checklist counting your abscences.
The important thing is your relationship with God, regardless of whether or not you go to church.

God's world is his church; you don't need a building to worship God ; I do believe in honoring God for all of our gifts including nature; we should give to help others in need , to worship God more than just one day if only a simple thanks every day for giving us so much ; it is up to you and your personal relationship with God; we are suppose to give up at least one day in his honor and worship with no work of any kind; it use to be that way before the blue law was overturned ; on Sunday , all businesses were closed ; it was a day to worship and be with family until corporate greed infiltrated it

That answer is within you, not here on the boards.

I too sought and ended up with Christian Orthodoxy (Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, etc.) The search is very personal experience.

We can't "go to church". The followers of Christ are His church. The body of Christ. God wants us to meet to worship and fellowship together for our own good.
