there are thousands of different kinds of cold bacteria, the only way to be immune to the cold is to get that individual cold, suffer with it, and get better. Then you are immune to that particular cold.

I don't think there is a permanent cure for cold. Cold happens because our defense system is so weak that it gives in to benign viruses. These viruses always changes in their antigenicity. Consequently, we cannot acquire a virtual immunity against them.

No. Cold viruses mutate very rapidly. They are constantly changing. Nobody has been able to come up with a universal cure or vaccine.
