I posted a question asking if I could wish everyone a happy Halloween, when I checked my e-mail a few minutes ago, it had been deleted and I lost ten points. I posted a question that Yahoo! lost last night asking Who wants to come over and play vampire? After yahoo! lost that question, I deleted it myself because of their incompetence. I reasked twice the question which had been deleted, these two were also lost. Guess what happened? Yep, two more violation notices. I asked a question about my lost questions as well last night which hasn't been deleted YET. I have to ask, how can three questions that weren't posted be in violation? I believe Yahoo! owes me 50 points. 15 for the deleted questions, 5 for the one I asked about said deleted questions, and 30 for the undue violations. All the questions were posted in the R&S section except the one that hasn't been deleted yet, which went to the Answers section and hasn't received any answers. Who else does yahoo! owe points to?

The Yahoo Answers staff are actually dugongs..... and they decide what to delete and what not to delete by dropping balls through hoops.
To put it another way: they're a bunch of drooling id!ots.... and even that S*ny robotic dog and the AIM bot "Smarterchild" could do their job better.

I fully understand how frustrating that is, and believe me, I sympathize. However, I think you just have to take it in stride. The mods on YA are like the wind - they waft wither they will, sometimes caressing our cheeks like the zephyr and sometimes blowing like the hurricane. In other words, there is no way to predict how they'll respond to any particular thing, as each of them is apparently allowed to interpret the guidelines as they choose, with no appeal in sight. So, ridiculous deletions are going to continue, they're going to hit people who don't deserve them, and there's not a blasted thing any of us can do about it.
As for the missing questions - I've noticed lately that it takes some time between the posting of a question and it actually appearing on the board. I have an image of a hot, dank, stone-lined room deep underground at Yahoo's headquarters. In this room is a bank of computers, each of which is displaying a question someone has asked but which has not yet been posted. Working feverishly at these computers is a group of trolls, between three and four feet tall, none of whom have bathed since the Clinton administration. They must pass on a question before it's posted. If they see what they feel to be a violation, then they are allowed to keep it from ever seeing the light of day and simultaneously issue violation notices. This is made difficult by the fact that none of them actually understand English, but they try.
And, for what it's worth, Happy Halloween to you!

I know that they have an automated violation system that looks for particular keywords (or brings them to the direct attention of some Yahoo propellerhead for consideration). I think you'll find that any question that makes direct reference to the esteemed Top Religion & Spirituality Answerer will get flagged and probably deleted with a violation. They may have something in place for some of the Halloween words.

Someone is sniping you, it is best to hide your questions and answers for a few weeks.. Some people on Y!A can hold a grudge for the simplest of things.
Good luck.
