We talked about getting married, when I brought up how can we get married if you dont trust me he said I wish you would just drop the marriage thingy! The I asked him if he loved me he said yes I love you but Im not in love with you! I just dont understand!

Sounds like he doesn't want to marry you. When he says he loves you, it's like him saying he cares. It's a little hard to explain but its like this.... he loves you.... like you love your friends.... being "in love" with you is like sharing that deep emotional and physical connection, it would be him wanting to marry you....
so basically he just said he loves you as a friend, but marriage just isn't his thing with you right now. Maybe in the future he will fall "in love" with you, but for now, he's just in a relationship to see if you're "the one" or finding out what he wants in "the one". If things are still going great for you two, drop the marriage talk and stick with the relationship you have. Or if you're wanting to get married now.... find someone else.

You talked about marriage not him is what you're saying, you can LOVE someone without being INLOVE, being inlove happens normally for the first 1-2 years, after that the goo-goo-ga-ga emotions usually mature. You need to ask him what he meant, not a stranger.

You love your mom, you are not in love with her. Your boyfriend cares for you, but isnt crazy about you. he knows you are a nice girl, but feels there is something missing. You should move on and find someone that will be in love with you or you will both be miserable.

It means he thinks you're great, but he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life with you. You can continue with the relationship if you want -- but once you accept and understand where it's going (i.e., nowhere) you may realize there's no reason to. Find someone who's crazy about you instead.
