If you know anything about camcorders, can you tell me if this one is decent? I don't need tier 1 quality- but I don't want a total fuzzy piece of junk either... my digital camera is a 7.0 megapixel and takes great pics but does that have the same meaning in camcorders?

Take TV Guys advice with a grain of salt.

But I would stay away from no name brands like the one your looking at.

If your not filming a Documentary. You can buy a nice digital Camcorder for a good price, Your home movies will look good for years to come.

Talk to the sales person and ask the same question you asked here. You might also ask them about the warranty and how easy is it to service the camera after you buy it. Just in case you have a problem . You don't want the thing in service when your on vacation.

Unless the camcorder is a new HD or Bluray unit it will produce standard TV quality or less. It's 480i resolution for a standard TV, but some camcorders don't produce that. It might be 320i or something like that. You can't really compare camcorders with digital cameras.

This is a TOY, it is not a camcorder.
Uses standard AA batteries - will not be able to record for long.
Has NO optical zoom, just digital, which means crappy zoom.

The video resolution is below 720x480.
No Light for night video.

No visible digital interfaces.
There are cell phones that have better video cameras than this one!!

Buy a real camcoder, with optical zoom, and at least a DV interface
