Last night, I purchased two bottles of the Tink's brand deer scents: #1 Doe-P & Trophy Buck. I also purchased some of their scent bomb containers.

I was just wondering if anybody has had any success with these products. Any tips on how to use them would be great also!

P.S.- I was thinking about hanging one near a scrape, by tying some thin fishing line to it and hanging it from a branch. My theory is if it's up in the air, there will be more wind/scent movement. Just tell me if you think it would work.

Catherine, before you try assualting us on false premises, learn how to spell:

"What gives people like you the right to thing they can kill for sport?"

Think is spelled T-H-I-N-K not T-H-I-NG

ANY Buck lure or Doe-P will work initially as a cover scent for when you are in the area you intend to hunt. Before you get into the woods put a few drops on your boots to mask human odor..The main times the scents work the best is during the Whitetail "Rut" which hasn't started yet. After a good frost and the Bucks start the rut, any Doe-P scent will have a positive effect because they are designed to "attract" a Buck wanting to mate. The DoeP contains actual Doe Esterus which is a liquid scent that Does produce in their hind leg tarsal scent glands. This is spread by the Doe walking and urinating and actually leaves a scent trail for the Bucks to smell and follow. Trophy Buck scent is to make dominant Bucks in the area think that there are other Bucks challenging their territory and they respond aggressively looking for them.

Your idea of using the scent bomb dispensers is a good one as the scent spreads over a larger area quicker if it is up off the ground several feet.I have had many Bucks actually respond to the scent and walk up and actually "sniff" the container. It's also a good idea to hang a few cotton balls soaked in the scents from fishing line about 4' off of the ground on limbs, not just over a rub, but on any active trails near your stand, Good Luck

FOR CATHERINE.....Honey,Don't go away mad, just go AWAY!

I have had excellent results using the scents for hunting. Place them close to the shooting lanes. Not real close to my stand(s). Most of my deer hunting is with a bow and will take all the advantage (legal) I can get. Placement should also be considered with the prevailing winds in your area. And again NOT to close to your stand. Hanging them somewhat low seems to work for me.

Think it stands for “People Eating Tasty Animals”?

Respectfully suggest you-- and others with your train of thought place your insulting and demeaning comments in another section.

As this IS a forum for hunting. And associated shooting sports.

Its more of a cover up than a deer attractant. I have used before but had no results. Tried several times. DOES'NT WORK. Save your money. If i were to try something that might work it wouold be Code Blue Whitetail Standing Estrous . Expensive but is actual doe urine at time of breeding. Ca'nt get anything anycloser or better. Here's their site. http://www.codebluescents.com/
As for Catherine. You'd better stay to reading modern h#o

Yes, that sounds like it should work. Another option is to put a little scent on some trees or bushes on the way to the tree that you will be using as bait. This will be like they were walking to it. Good luck! Happy eating!

I concur with JD on this one.

And Catherine....are you perusing the hunting post because you are curious? I think in fact that you are a "bi-huntress" and seeking to know more about a preference while pretending to bash it. I know a lot of former straight people who went gay falling into the same trap. Come on out of the closet my dear huntress in disguise. It's ok if you want to stray!

Sorry, I cannot help myself, I have to comment. Yes Tinks is awesome stuff and works wonderfully, it sounds like you already know how to use it.
Now for Catherine, You tree huggin-bunny huggers do not know what the f*** you are talking about, this is a hunting section, if you do not want to hear about hunting stay the f*** off here, and leave us alone.
