Just type "command prompt" without the quotes in the "Run" search box, or you can find it at the following location. Start/All Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt

Hi
Press windows logo key between Ctrl and Alt
and R. to get run box
type in cmd to go to command prompt.
If you want to configure what windows loads on startup
Type msconfig.
When in command prompt you want to know your ip address type in ipconfig/all.

Type in "cmd" without the quotation thingys and hit enter =)

take it you mean under xp/vista you go start run type cmd and enter or start/programs/accessories command prompt, right click command prompt then send to desktop now you have shortcut to it on your desktop

both of the previous answers are correct: cmd or command
in addition to the command, i have placed a shortcut to it on my desktop so i do not have to open the run and type cmd.
